1st annual strong chance film festival

Festival Information

Strong Chance Film Festival (SCFF) is the brainchild of female filmmaker, Drica Armstrong. While attending so many festivals Drica wanted to see a change in how women were viewed not only as equals, but as content creatives as well. SCFF is a FEMALE based festival celebrating the amazing accomplishments and pivotal roles held by women within a film production. SCFF looks for the best of the best, especially those that take bold risks. Female filmmakers are making strides daily as we see more and more women at the table of opportunity. The overall goal of the festival is to have a great and network, while giving credit where credit it due. 

Join us August 9-11, 2019 at NJCU in Jersey City, NJ. SCFF will be accepting the following formats:

  • Documentaries

Vendor Information

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!

  • Set up for vending will be from 11am-12pm.
  • Vendor must be COMPLETELY set up by 12pm.
  • Vending will be from 12pm-5pm. 
  • Vendor MUST NOT breakdown before 5pm.
  • Tables are booked on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.
  • Once your request is approved by the festival the table MUST be paid within 7 days, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • If approved, vendor will have to supply a logo for festival promotion marketing.
  • Vendors will be notified by June 2019 of request approval.

Drica Armstrong Festival Founder

Drica Armstrong is an Elizabeth, NJ native who started her filmmaking career after attending a Master's Class held by her cinematic idol, Robert Townsend. Since becoming a content creative Drica has several projects under her belt including her Award-Winning debut feature film, His Dying Wish, and most recently her Award-Nominated short film, Guilty. Drica has written projects for other Producers/Directors, which has been screened across the country. Recently Drica became a member of New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT), a prestigious organization for women within the entertainment industry in New York City.
